Named for the legendary jazz singer who called Brooklyn home, the Betty Carter Auditorium for the Arts is a new stage for local talent to emerge. This multipurpose space is perfect for dinners, events, performances, and gatherings of all types, and can be outfitted for a wide variety of different purposes.

The auditorium
The auditorium was originally the Armory’s Fencing Gym, which is why it retains so many unique features and decorative accents preserved in redevelopment — when you visit, be sure to check out the wooden wall sculptures and observation deck where the fencing coach used to judge matches.
